“A Lenten Prayer Experience”

In “A Different Kind of Fast,” Christine Valters  Paintner offers us an opportunity to let go and experience seven unique fasts.  These include fasting from control, our attachments, multitasking and more. Each week during Lent has a “fasting from” theme and she offers different contemplative practices for each day of the week beginning on Ash Wednesday.  The introduction to this prayer experience is 68 pages long - thus the reason for advance notice! You will need to purchase the book, and also get a head start on reading.

While you can certainly do this prayer on your own, Ann Derr will facilitate a weekly gathering to share and extend our Lenten prayer.  Meetings will be in person only on Wednesdays from 10-11:15  on March 12,…
