In both the Roman Catholic and Revised Common Lectionaries, the prophet Isaiah is read

throughout the season of Advent. In this three-week course we will examine the role of

prophecy as it relates to Advent and the book of the prophet Isaiah in particular with a

focus on the readings for Advent.
