Spiritual Renewal with the Seasons: Favorite Poems of Autumn

Help us celebrate Autumn with poetry!

We will be reading and discussing poems of Autumn on Wednesday, October 30 at 7pm.

Prior to the program, registrants will receive a packet of poems 

featuring both classical and contemporary poems to get us started in our discussion.

We will begin the program with a short prayer service in praise of Autumn. 

We’ll then read our favorite poems that explore themes of Autumn, 

and you will have the opportunity to read your favorite Autumn poem. 

It could be a poem about the glorious natural landscapes of Fall, 

a favorite Autumn activity, or any Autumn experience.  

All participants are invited to bring their favorite poem of Autumn, 

either someone else’s or one you have written! 

Suggested fee is $15.

Future plans...

Beyond the seasons of nature, we are also hoping to present programs 

around the Poetry of Advent and Poetry of Lent

in the upcoming liturgical seasons. 

Look for information regarding further offerings in the coming months.

We hope you’ll help us to ensure the continuation of poetry 

as an offering among the Center’s repertoire of spiritual practices.

Judy Carr is an experienced reader and inspired writer of poetry, in addition to being the Spiritual Renewal Center's Gift Manager and Volunteer Coordinator. For many years she had also been Guest Services Coordinator at the recently closed Christ the King Retreat House.
